Almost Drowning

I went to swimming sports today.  I was really excited until I saw all the other children there.  I came last because I got tired feet.  The other swimmers were in front of me and they were kicking really hard and they made me slow down.  When I turned around for my second width the flutterboard slipped out of my hands.  I nearly drowned.  So I got out of the pool and got changed.

Roar like Thunder

My two Duffy books are ‘Start your Engine’ and the other one is about ‘Hot Wheels’.  In the story it is race day and the cars have to start their engines.  The engines roar like thunder. I liked it because it has lots of cars in the book.  The cars circle the track slowly. It has loads of words but I can read it.
